🎅🏻Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ❤️💚Sensory Bin

The year 2014 marked the 50th Anniversary of the first airing of a Christmas classic television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It has become our family tradition to watch this classic special together at least once during the Christmas holiday. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Lift-the-Flap Tab book is a special edition commemorating this time-honored classic. Pictures of Rudolph, Santa, Sam the Snowman and other characters from the original stop-motion animation appear on the pages of this Lift-the-Flap Tab-Book, which has tabbed edges and fun flaps to lift on every page.

To add a sensorial dimension to this invitation to play, it took me less than five minutes to set up this Christmas-Inspired sensory bin using last year's holiday wrapping paper, packing peanuts, Christmas bows, some ornaments and mini characters from the movie.

And so he did! “Play Is The Work of the Child,” said Maria Montessori since play activities have been proven to be essential to healthy development for children. Research has now shown that the first few years of a child's life provide the foundation for future learning.

“The hands are the instruments of man's intelligence.”  — Maria Montessori, so let them play, explore and learn in the process!
